I consider myself a specialist in life transitions. I often see patients whose discomfort with these transitions has seeped into every aspect of their life, bringing up complex emotions and dysfunction that can come from changes in roles and identity. My vision for counseling sessions is to create a space where you can learn to accept and embrace these parts of yourself and to provide the tools needed for you to continue this practice on your own. I provide an affirming, compassionate space for people who are often managing both physical and emotional pain while also striving to feel seen and understood.
I understand that chronic illness and invisible conditions can deeply impact your sense of identity, relationships, and day-to-day life. My approach is trauma-informed and person-centered, integrating tools from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you build resilience, process complex emotions, and reconnect with your sense of self. I have experience working with neurological disorders and have personal interest in Functional Neurological Disorder (FND).
I also work extensively with women and LGBTQIA+ clients facing issues such as hormonal changes, body image, reproductive mental health, identity development, medical trauma, and societal pressures. Whether your seeking therapy for support with grief, burnout, anxiety, gender identity, or navigating the medical system, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to do it alone.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from University of Utah with a certificate in women’s health, and I am committed to anti-oppressive, inclusive care that recognizes the intersectionality of your lived experience. As a queer clinician, I lean on my own experience to connect with the LGBTQIA+ community and strive to foster a sex and body-positive environment for all.
In my free time, I enjoy reading a good book, playing video games with my family, and going on walks with my dog, Fofo.
