I believe counseling should be a place where you can be yourself, feel understood, and talk honestly about what is happening in your life. My approach is warm, practical, and down-to-earth, with a focus on helping clients develop tools they can use in everyday life.
I am completing my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Bellevue University. My counseling approach draws primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I especially enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, and individuals navigating chronic illness, anxiety, stress, emotional challenges, relationships, and major life transitions. I have worked with youth in a variety of capacities for more than 26 years, including youth groups, leadership roles, and coaching.
I have a particular passion for supporting individuals and families impacted by chronic illness. As a parent who has walked alongside children experiencing significant health challenges, I understand that chronic illness affects much more than physical health—it can impact identity, relationships, independence, emotional well-being, and hopes for the future.
Outside of counseling, I am a husband and father of four who loves sports, hanging out, and has spent many years coaching youth teams. I’m someone who enjoys being around people, staying active, and finding connection in everyday moments, and I tend to bring a relaxed, approachable energy wherever I go. My goal is simple: meet you where you are, help you feel heard, and work together toward meaningful change.
